Level 5 Diploma in Therapeutic Supervision

PCCT Ltd is a private organisation that delivers quality counselling training from beginner level 3 to practitioner status level 5. To extend this suite of qualifications PCCT Ltd are now able to offer a supervision qualification, written to level 5 which has been Quality Checked by The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society.

This course will enable practitioners to explore the origins of supervision with some of the differing models of supervision that are available. In conjunction with this, exploring the roles and responsibilities of what a supervisor and supervision entails and the legislation that is integral to this process.

This course is written by PC Counselling and Training Ltd and holds the Quality Mark of The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society
The course is designed to attract counselling practitioners who are at least 2 years post qualified and have accrued a minimum of 450 client hours, and are now wishing to expand their own portfolio of skills and qualifications.

This qualification contains 4 mandatory units inclusive of 6 recorded supervision sessions.

Delivery and assessment will be 6 days, over 6 months and will include:
  • formative assignments
  • supervision skills practice/applied theory work
  • individual/small group work
  • training group supervision sessions
As the course unfolds, the pratitioner will be expected to identify their own preferred supervision model and how this fits with their own counselling philosophy.

The course also consists of learner led research and presentation activities and summative case studies of 6 supervision sessions outside of the classroom setting.

The sessions will be delivered via blended learning- a mix of online and face to face, inline with Awarding Body and Government Guidelines.
